Statement of Purpose
The mission of the Coastside Mothers' Club (CMC) is to enrich the lives of families with young children, both within our club and our community. We are a diverse group of moms living between Montara and Pescadero who have come together to form a volunteer-led organization for sharing resources, building friendships, and having fun. We are here for our children, each other, and ourselves.
Membership Criteria
You must be a parent, grandparent, or guardian who lives on the coast, between Montara and Pescadero, and is expecting a child or has at least one child.

Membership Types
We have two membership types:
- Membership-Mail : The Member will receive their monthly CMC newsletter via the mail.
- Membership-Online : The Member will receive their monthly CMC newsletter via their email account or view it online.
Membership Period and Renewals
The membership period runs from March 1 to Febuary 28 (or 29) of each year. EVERYONE renews on the same date regardless of what month they joined the club.
A grace period has been established for NEW members who join the club in January and February. These members will not be charged the renewal fee for the renewal period which starts on March 1st.
Two renewal notices are sent via email. The first is sent 40 days before expiration (about January 20th) and the second 10 days before expiration (about February 20th). Members must log onto the system to renew. They can pay their dues via either check or credit card.
A members account will be considered Expired if payment is not received by March 1st and Inactive if not received by March 30th. Once your account is inactive, you will no longer be allowed to logon to the system nor will you receive further newsletters (if you receive them via the mail).

Membership Dues
- Currently both membership types (Mail and Online) have the same dues.
- Effective January 1, 2008, membership dues are $35 for both new and renewing members.
- Membership dues are used to print and mail newsletters, host the website, sponsor a variety of speakers, and coordinate fun-filled kids' and moms' socials events.
Scholarships
Dues may be waived on the basis of financial hardship by appealing to the Treasurer. An amount based on ability to pay will be decided by the Treasurer.

Membership Cancellation

A member may terminate her membership on a voluntary basis at any time by notifying the Membership Coordinator.

The Board will terminate a person's membership if her dues are not current (30 days after the renewal period.). Membership will be reinstated with payment of dues.

The Board reserves the right to terminate a person’s membership or take other action, as determined by the board, if the member does not abide by the bylaws or other club guidelines.
- The Member will be removed from the club roster and discontinue your access to our monthly newsletter, forums and other club benefits.
- We do not refund any membership dues.
